Chapter 9

Chapter 9 covers e-commerce on the web and the different forms of it you can do. There are four major ways to buy and sell online: Business to Business (B2B), Business to Consumer (B2C), Consumer to Consumer (C2C), and Consumer to Business (B2C). Anyone can relate to this as online shopping has become the primary way to shop for items, overtaking malls in modern times. This chapter also goes over the vocabulary that’s related to e-commerce. Words like online stores being called dot-com stores and online and physical stores being called bricks and clicks. The standout part of this section to me was the legal issues section of the chapter when talking about international laws and how they affect e-commerce. I remember the hassle I had trying to buy a retro gaming console from Japan, but now reading about how tricky international laws are with tariffs and privacy laws it makes more sense (still equally annoying though). Overall, the 9th module is an essential chapter that’ll forever be necessary as e-commerce becomes more widely popular and convenient.
